In 2009, Die Neue Sammlung \u2013 The Design Museum
started a series of talks<\/strong>.
This series of talks is called: Future Talks<\/strong>.

The Future Talks take place every 2 years<\/strong>.
The department for restoration came up with the idea.
Restoration means: to protect artworks or
restore them to their original condition.

In the Future Talks, participants from many countries
talk about research projects<\/strong> on:
\u2022 developing and maintaining modern materials<\/strong>
\u2022 new technical developments <\/strong>

The Future Talks have:
\u2022 Specialist lectures
\u2022 Workshops
\u2022 Speed Lectures
\u2022 Panel discussions
These are discussions between several experts.
They talk on a stage in front of an audience.

The participants<\/strong> come from different specialist areas<\/strong>.
They talk about their experiences on
how to better repair and protect<\/strong> old and new works of art.

Since 2009 there have been 7 Future Talks.
More than 1,800 people<\/strong> from 30 countries<\/strong> took part in
these Future Talks.
You can read about the most important results.
These Future Talks on the restoration of artworks are now
very important for experts from many countries. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
